Not so Little Caesar! This is no.8 of Dennis Cooper's poetry cum heroic homo pin-up journal. Every issue of Little Caesar
is special but one issue is more special than the others - this one! We hardly need point out that that cover is out-of-this-world class.
The three ages of Sid Vicious. He was of course four short of Shakespeare's quota - dying so young. In fact, he died In February 1979. This issue was published in... February 1979.
Oh wow. One of our favourite pages of any book ever! Marcia Resnick's (im)perfectly titled Bad Boys. Featuring Brian Eno (see last week for a similar Resnick portrait of him) and the at-least-a-little-bit-bad Joey Ramone.
Candy Darling appears to have fainted at the sight of the naked Pop. Not that she was lacking in that department herself, as we have previously revealed. The photograph is one of fifteen Malanga portraits featured in the issue under the title Popism.
Poetry! Malanga's 'Is Sid Vicious' is concise and graphic enough to capture our short attention. The present tense also confirming that the issue came out before Sid checked out.
