It gets better. Some books do that . Jim Richardson's High School U.S.A. has attained superbook status through steady unfaltering improvement. Or maybe we just got better at looking. Certainly the Velma and Fred cover and the hand drawn typeface are world class. We should have read the signs!
One of the great pictures. Ever. We love Joseph Szabo, of course, but everyone knows he was the best. Almost Grown is a superbook and everyone knows that. What we LOVE about Jim Richardson is that no-one knew he was the BEST. Now they do.

Party like it's 1979. We may have made this book rare over recent years. It is an @ideabooksltd favourite. What we could never do is make this hardcover first edition any rarer than it is.
