All The Young Dudes

ALL THE YOUNG DUDES. AND WHEN WE SAY 'ALL' WE

MEAN 'BOTH' THE YOUNG DUDES AS THERE WERE

ONLY TWO ISSUES OF THIS PUNK PHOTO AMAZINE PUBLISHED IN 1976. WE ARE STARTING WITH THE

SECOND ISSUE BECAUSE

THIS PHOTO / LAYOUT OF

JOEY RAMONE MIGHT JUST

BE THE BEST COVER EVER!

DAMN that's good! You can't get flatter than that flat colour. How they used to print pictures like this we have no idea. If we could copy it, we would. That orange shirt and super sickly skin tone is pure aesthetic pleasure. It's big too - this isn't some small folded A4 zine - it's like 30 by 40cm LARGE.

And this is the first issue. Patti Smith with her eyes closed for the violin solo.

Don't be too curious about the Vol.2, No.1 numbering. The second issue is Vol.1, No.6. We have investigated this mystery and found absolutely zip all. There were only two issues. These are them. They were published by Nick Latzoni and composed of his photos and those of others including Rick Jones, Patti Young and Mick Benson. They are a who's who and who was that of punk.

Who was that? Annie Golden of The Shirts.

Richard Lloyd from The Sweat Patches. Actually, great band name, but that's our joke - it's Richard Lloyd from Television.

We would never make jokes about Tina Weymouth from Talking Heads. She's our hero!

Mug shots and great layout. The Ramones of course.

Back cover lovers love this picture of... unexpected answer upside down here: ɥʇıɯs ıʇʇɐd

Both issues aka all issues of All The Young Dudes are for sale on the blue button below. Yours forever.
