Disco Hot Press

TWELVE YEARS WE HAVE

BEEN DOING THIS AND NOW

WE FIND A TOP TEN ALL-TIME TOTAL AMAZINE! ALL THE

WAY FROM 1979 (AKA THE

BEST YEAR SINCE RECORDS BEGAN). AND IT IS CALLED DISCO HOT PRESS. 100

PAGES OF VISUAL ENERGY

AND OTHERWISE UNSEEN REFERENCE. LIKE. WOW!

Some crazy cover that is. Missing it already. But we can't find more than one.

Dropping you in gently with these Sexy Girl / Disco Queen pages. Carol Douglas was early on the disco scene with
Doctor's Orders (1974), Canadian France Joli sang Come To Me (1979) and Donna Summer - well you should know all about her.

And now New York and Studio 54. A double page of many double pages. It's wonderful. Really don't think we have seen these club pics before.

Los Angeles part one. Flipper's Roller Boogie Disco! Yet more pics we have never seen. There's a whole rollerskate section that follows this and then...

The Circus Disco with The Gap Levi's. The Gap began as a dedicated retailer of Levi's Jeans in San Francisco in 1969. Clearly they were big enough come 1979 to host parties at the newly opened
Circus Disco in Hollywood.

The middle section of the mook (magazine / book) sees the moves move from the US to Japan.

And for the thirty or forty pages of New York and LA, there are even more documenting the disco scene in Tokyo and Osaka. This is really the rare unseen scene. The whole thing is a complete revelation. We have one. The next steps - finding more.
