Published in 1995. It is the second book of John Kacere's work; the first, published in France in 1989, we wrote about a few years ago. They are the only two books. This one is, arguably, the best. In fact, it is arguably the best book full stop. It is quite ridiculously super good. 
 

This being why. John Kacere painted better pictures than most anyone took photographs. You can see him hard at work in the photo below.



Note that Kacere was a regular sized artist; that is a larger than life sized lace derrière he is painting! 
 

This book may well be the best Kacere book on the strength of this yellow silk twin set composition alone. Underwear and lingerie reference is in curiously short supply in the fashion world. This book with some hundred or so silks has quite the second life on the side. 
 

This is all he ever painted. 
 

Over and over again. 
 

With this being about as risqué as his work ever got. He clearly had twin obsessions for fabric and flesh but there there was never the latter without the former. A true artist of cotton, lace, satin and silk.
