FOUR ROLAND GARROS

MOST ICONIC PLAYERS. TOTALLY OUT OF THIS

WORLD CLASS PHOTOS!

Yes these are AMAZING. Four Roland Garros album programmes. 1980 / 83 / 84 / 85. Proper books too - with adverts in them (which we love). The photos though... you won't believe how great they are...

Starting here for the fashion folk. Jimmy Connors and Patti McGuire. Can't get into describing it. Too many great photos to follow. But take a moment to register all the styling details - we can see seven of note.

Yannick Noah in Steel Pulse shirt and the best boots ever.

Tracy Austin before and after double page is unreally like a Nadia Lee Cohen project. Incredible.

As is this advert with the le coq sportif mini Cheddars necklace opposite Henri Laconte (the Chris de Burgh of tennis).

Good grief!!! Favourite sports photo of all time. Sweden's Stefan Edberg sitting centre sofa bored out of his beige mind in that family photo. And his dad has no shoes on!!

This is getting silly now. How did these chairs not catch on? One sad survivor was pinned here.

Don't see so many players stepping out in the cigarette sponsored sportswear these days. He won't be chasing down too many drop shots.

Hana Mandlíková in 80s airbrush aesthetic blouson. Rivets in the skirt seam too. Best dressed by miles.

Chris Evert needs no mirror in her chalet styled home. She can look at herself in that giant Warhol.

And finally. Everyone's favourite barefoot bad boy John McEnroe. Amazing again.

These Roland Garros books are easily our most favourite find of the summer. We have one set of four. Don't expect them to stick around so long on the store. They are rare and tennis is something of an obsession for many of our customers. But, right now, as we write this, you can buy them on the button below. Let's go!
