Tomo / Photoart

NOW IS THE TIME. THE DOCUMENTARY OF DAVIDE SORRENTI SEE KNOW EVIL WAS SHOWN IN LONDON LAST MONTH. THIS IS THE BOOK TOMO / PHOTOART. PRINTED IN 2000 IN AN EDITION OF 1300. NOW EXCEPTIONALLY SCARCE. THE HISTORIC DOCUMENT.

Jaime King photographed by Davide. Just as his brother Mario's pictures of Kate Moss made his career in London, so Davide's pictures of Jaime defined his. They were the New York couple of the Nineties. These pictures live forever.

The book is two books in a box. One book is Davide's work. The other book comprises works by photographers and artists that were sold as prints to raise money for Cooley's Anemia Foundation, the non profit organisation that funds research and supports people living with the genetic blood disorder, thalassemia.*

Jaime again. Davide's work exists across many editorials in Dazed, in the Japanese Dune and in the family archive. This book is the only opportunity to see many of the images in one place. And right now we can only find this one copy.

He was really REALLY good. Davide died aged 20. He achieved so much. You can read more about him here - in this excellent piece by the See Know Evil documentary maker Charlie Curran.

Not Davide. Craig McDean's portrait of Alexander McQueen. One of the contemporaneous works from the second book in the slipcase.

Another page from the second book. Larry Clark was an inspiration to Davide. The second book is, in itself, stunning.

One more Jaime King. They are so special. And there is just one copy of the book. They are now exceptionally hard to find. Quite understandably, no one who has one would ever want to part with it. Neither, we imagine, will you.

* £50 from the sale of this one copy will be donated by IDEA to Cooley's Anemia Foundation
