Fiorucci Manual of Style

OOOEEE! EXCITING. THE VERY, VERY HARD TO FIND FIORUCCI MANUAL OF STYLE. 1982 THIS WAS PUBLISHED BY TERRY JONES OF i-D. NOT JUST NUMBER ZERO BUT ALSO THE ONLY ISSUE THERE EVER WAS. A GOOD TEN YEARS WE HAVE SPENT IN THE HOPE OF FINDING A COPY. AND NOW... FINALLY. WE HAVE IT :)

IN FUTURE / A FUTURE. The original Manual of Style. Scarlet Cannon on the cover. The product of the hard working relationship and fab friendship between Terry Jones and Elio Fiorucci. Jones was Fiorucci's art director in the early 80's - in return, Fiorucci went a long way to funding the first issues of i-D. In 1982, this arrived. And it is a lot, lot harder to find than even i-D no.1. Mega scarcity.

Straight up street photo style. Text is Italian but the pics and people all very British. Gary from Southend with the Tolkien vibes, Pearl Harbour (not her real name) from London/USA, Sandra from Brighton and Gay John from wherever New Romantics come from (Birmingham probs).

Wonders of the new new wave. Sandii who sang with Yellow Magic Orchestra and fronted the
Sunsetz. Always the biggest Scrabble scores when playing the eighties synth pop deluxe edition. On the right, the true post-punk debauchery of PIL-like and utterly ungoogleable band Irregular Period.

For a Fiorucci fanzine there is a LOT of Vivienne Westwood going on. Fun in Euro-fluro green too.

The New York scene. Klaus Nomi, Joey Aria, Suicide's Alan Vega.

More from Nostalgia of Mud. This is part of an Identi-kit. How it might actually work - no idea, whatsoever.

Hard rock candy. Sophie above from all' Università di Exter (which does sound a lot more exotique than Exeter Uni ever was) headbanging to the metal band Wolf.*

*Not the Swedish metal band Wolf, who formed in 1995 and didn't even make this list of
top ten wolf bands

Super cuteness. From the Japanese section. Kid in the middle with the biggest smile and the Adidas. Happiness is wearing the best clothes.

We have one copy. Who knows when we will find another. Take your chance. Now.
