Hard Corps

HOW HARD CAN IT BE? THIS WEEK'S SUPERBOOK IS

HARD CORPS. SUBTITLED, STUDIES IN LEATHER & SADOMASOCHISM. 1977'S

BEST EVER BOOK AND ONE

OF THE MOST OVER-LOOKED AND UNDERRATED PHOTO BOOKS WE KNOW. THE PICTURES BY ED GALLUCCI

ARE PAINFULLY TRUTHFULLY WORLD CLASS. AND A HALF.

Das silver reflective cover. We know, it's a 'yes, please' already book.

On the inside. We love this photograph of the gentleman at this desk in his book lined office with the leather hat and jacket on the coat stand in the foreground. The man is Michael Grumley, the author of the book. Sadly, Michael died of AIDS in 1988. The book and the photograph are both brilliant testament to him, thankfully. 1977
Hard Corps was published.

Female sub and a very great sofa.

Male sub and a sofa that dominates that room. You may know this from the
@idea.ltd Instagram. It's a classic. We have known about this book for a while. Just somehow never wrote about it. Making amends for it now. The photographs are all by Ed Galluci. He is still around. He deserves a medal or, at the very least, some retrospective praise.

For so many reasons. But the skull earring first. The fashion reference is endless.

It's too good!
Watch out for Pick Pockets. Pick Pocket Paradise.

And our favourite of favourite photographs. There is nothing this does not have. It just has it all.

Michael Grumley's text is excellent too:
Leather sex is in its way survival sex, coming face to face with what it is and making of it what ought to be, turning circumstance to ritual and need to fulfilment.

We have two copies of the 1977 first and only edition. It's getting scarce now after all these years of secretive IDEA sales. And now - secret no more!
