This is the first book Keanu made with the artist Alexandra Grant. 2011 it was published by Steidl. It comes in this slipcase. And clearly it is called Ode To Happiness - written in Keanu's own hand. There are two important things to consider with this book; 1. it is very, very good. 2, it is very, very rare. Try finding one. It took us a year and we would have paid any price to anyone. It's MEGA scarce.

Ode To Happiness has a simple zen like narrative. The text by Keanu tells the story of someone (like, obviously him) getting up and getting ready for the day. It's (very) succinct. It is curiously the most Groundhog Day lockdown isolation book in the history of the world. And it's funny.

The book is illustrated by the artist Alexandra Grant. She is at least half the story - OK, more - she's just not as famous.

See. It's funny.

We have this one copy. And it feels like a million dollars. And, although it isn't quite that much to buy it now, its value is REAL. So one day many years from now when your grandchildren ask you what you did during the 2020 pandemic, you can say that you bought Keanu Reeves's Ode To Happiness and saved your soul...

And this is the second book. Shadows. Grant obfuscatingly photographs Keanu on every other page. Because the other pages are for Keanu's handwritten aphorisms; My shadow is innocent, I am guilty, I first saw it in my youth, the beginning of the end. Provokes thoughts.
