COVER a Magazine of Art
The hugely significant & short lived New York Downtown art scene amazine COVER. The ournal was edited by Judith Aminoff, the mag was an alternate to other critical art rags such as Artforum, but not primarily focusing on the art world. The mag acted differently in giving the artist space to create original pieces to contribute. These collection issues 1, 3 & 5. Works by Barbera Kruger (in which the first issue includes one of her her earliest essays titled 'Irony/Passion'0, Les Levine, Earl Ripling, a fab feature focusing on women working in American New Wave cinema, Richard Serra, Thomas Lawon, Robert Longo et al. It's endless. The later issues a fantastic reference to NY galleries long gone. A designers delight. Sold as a set.
