New Sounds New Styles

The short-lived British monthly magazine, covering New Romantics music, fashion, clubbing etc, ran for only 14 issues. Issue ‘0’ (the pilot issue) came out in March 1981 and Issue 13, the final issue, in July 1982. This collection comprises issues 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 12. Issues 0, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7 all come with their original folded double-sided poster inserts (of Duran Duran/Grace Jones, Kid Creole/Belle Stars, Spandau/Steve Strange, Ultravox/Gary Numan, Soft Cell/Siouxsie, Spandau/Landscape, Japan/Steve Strange respectively). These are often missing. Issue 9 is missing the free flexi-disc; by issue 10, EMAP had given up on any freebies.
