One of his rarest and bestest books! What was known as a booze cruise. For a while in the 1980s, The Sun newspaper offered readers day trips to Calais in France for £1. In France for a few hours the passengers would heavily shop the duty free and much cheaper shoreline supermarches. A vulgar mess is what it was and Martin Parr documented the phenomena in a set of truly shocking photographs. A small masterpiece this book.
