Nigel Shafran Compost Pictures 2008-9. 

This photobook was published in conjunction with Shafran's solo exhibition, "Compost Pictures," held in 2010 at the Charleston Art Centre in East Sussex, England.

Shafran has previously used his home as a setting for his work, but in this piece, he focuses on the food waste in a compost bowl in the corner of his kitchen. The arrangement of vegetables and kitchen utensils, seemingly by chance, resembles a sculpture or installation, creating an interesting composition. Despite its small size, this book offers a glimpse into the artist's keen perspective and sense of humor.
